Before the days of giant pharmaceutical companies, everyone knew what an apothecary was. These were the drug stores from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the Twentieth Century. These shops were filled with medicines that have come down through the ages by herbalists, midwives and nature cure doctors.

I have put the Alaskan Apothecary together based on my experience in the past 25+ years of treating patients with natural medicines.

I see this site as not only a link to the past but also as a bridge to modern medicine. A number of studies show that many patients use both pharmaceutical preparations and natural medicines, often without the knowledge of their primary care provider. This can be an unhealthy combination. That is why I am also making my services available to people who want to discuss their medical conditions and pharmaceutical medicines with me before purchasing from this site.
